There are a lot of cold air intake options, so there was a choice that needed to be made. For me, the choice was simple. I already was ordering a Mishimoto cooling system, so I just ordered their CAI at the same time.
Install
The car already had the stock airbox removed and had a big filter just put on to the MAF sensor. So I didn’t need to remove the stock box. But the big filter wasn’t shielded, it was just a generic K&N. The install just consisted of removing the K&N filter. Putting in the Mishimoto heat plate. Installing the hose and filter. It sounds better than the K&N that was there before, plus with the heat shield it should work a bit better.
